Owen Wilson Teases Possible Sequel to Fan-Favorite Film!
Owen Wilson has indicated that there is a possibility of revisiting one of his cherished films.
Throughout his career, Wilson has portrayed several memorable characters, including Hansel in Zoolander, Roy O’Bannon in Shanghai Noon, and Monsieur Chuck in The Grand Budapest Hotel, released in 2014.
While Zoolander has already seen a sequel, could there be a chance for more of Wilson’s films to be revisited?
In a conversation with Wilson prior to the launch of his new project, the Apple TV+ series Stick, I inquired whether he had considered revisiting any of his past films for a sequel.
Two films that particularly stood out in the discussion were Wedding Crashers and Marley and Me.

Wedding Crashers, written by Steve Faber and Bob Fisher and directed by David Dobkin, features Wilson alongside Vince Vaughn (The Internship), Isla Fisher (Now You See Me), Christopher Walken (Severance), and Rachel McAdams (The Notebook).
In the film, Wilson and Vaughn portray two divorce mediators who, as the title suggests, crash weddings in search of romantic encounters. Interestingly, the memorable ‘Lock it up!’ dialogue was improvised by the actors.
The film was a success, becoming the sixth highest-grossing film in the United States in 2005, and has been credited with revitalizing the appeal of R-rated comedies.
One Twitter user remarked: “Wedding Crashers is one of the finest films ever made.”
Another user commented: “Everyone stay calm, there will be a sequel to Wedding Crashers one day, and it will *obviously* involve Vaughn, Wilson, Fisher, and McAdams trying to prevent young troublemakers from crashing their children’s weddings. We just have to be patient, it might take a decade.”
But is there hope for more? Wilson told UNILAD: “Yeah, I mean, we’ve always talked about Wedding Crashers – that there could be potential there.
“And I think we still believe that maybe there’s something there. So, who knows.”
While it’s a non-committal but optimistic response, it’s still something to consider.
Additionally, the actor reminisced fondly about another film when discussing the possibility of a sequel.

While many of us might have gone through several tissues watching Marley and Me, Wilson enjoyed the experience of filming the emotional movie.
He shared: “Yeah, I had a great time making Marley and Me with Jennifer Aniston. I really enjoyed that.”
He didn’t specify whether he would be interested in a sequel, but one can hope.
In the meantime, Wilson can be seen as ex-professional golfer Pryce Cahill in the Apple TV+ series Stick.
Stick explores themes of nostalgia and reflecting on past times, reminiscent of another Wilson film, Midnight in Paris.

When I inquired if Wilson ever wishes to revisit a different time in his career or life, he replied: “You mentioned Midnight in Paris. I adore that city, and I had a wonderful time making it.
“And then, you know, the part […] my character is going back to meet Fitzgerald and Hemingway. That would have been amazing. Yeah, I would say that would be my choice.”
Stick is currently available for viewing with a subscription on Apple TV+.
